Insurance Customer Service Representative Job OverviewThe Insurance Customer Service Representative is a key role within an insurance agency, responsible for delivering high-quality customer support and engaging in outbound sales activities. Key Responsibilities- Assist existing and prospective insurance customers by addressing their questions, concerns, and policy needs in a prompt and professional manner.
- Process customer payments and facilitate policy changes to ensure accuracy and compliance with agency standards.
- Schedule and conduct appointments for new business onboarding and periodic policy reviews to maintain strong client relationships.
- Respond to billing inquiries, clarifying payment details and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Initiate outbound calls to both existing clients and potential new customers, including payment reminders and follow-up communications.
- Meet or exceed daily call targets focused on prospecting for new business opportunities and expanding the agency’s customer base.
- Utilize needs-based scripts during phone conversations and in-person appointments to ensure customers receive tailored product recommendations.
- Collaborate with the agency team to set and achieve individual and office-wide bonus goals.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service and a passion for helping others.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an outgoing and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proven track record or strong desire for success in a sales environment.
- Sales experience in any industry is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain required state insurance licenses (training provided if necessary).
