We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team at Scott Custead - State Farm Agency. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in delivering outstanding customer service and supporting clients with their insurance needs. As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for policyholders, ensuring that each customer receives prompt, accurate, and friendly service. Working within a respected State Farm agency, you will help to enhance the overall customer experience and contribute to the agency’s reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture relationships with customers, following up on their needs as necessary to foster satisfaction and loyalty.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy changes, transfers, claims submissions, and billing questions.
- Utilize a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate clients about State Farm Insurance products and services.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with customers by phone, email, and in person to address questions and resolve concerns.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, service requests, and transactions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a consistent and high-quality customer experience.
- Support office operations by assisting with administrative duties related to insurance policies and claims as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sales or customer service roles, such as inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing, is preferred.
- Exemplary written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong aptitude for assessing customer needs and conducting effective interviews.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to relate to customers and build positive relationships.
- Property and Casualty insurance license (must be able to obtain if not already licensed).
- Life and Health insurance license (must be able to obtain if not already licensed).
