Insurance Customer Service Representative
The Insurance Customer Service Representative position is an important client-facing role within a leading insurance agency. As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will play a key part in supporting policyholders, handling billing and retention tasks, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction in a full-time capacity. Responsibilities
- Warmly greet clients, answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address client inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate schedules, book appointments for agents and clients, and manage office supplies to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Prepare and process insurance forms, maintain accurate client files, and ensure all paperwork is completed and filed according to company guidelines.
- Enter and update client information in the agency management system, keeping records current and organized.
- Handle billing inquiries, process payments, and follow up on overdue accounts to support client retention and satisfaction.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and agents, facilitating clear and effective communication regarding policies, claims, and other matters.
- Support the organization of marketing events, assist with preparing promotional materials, and manage social media accounts to enhance agency outreach.
- Provide preliminary guidance to clients during the claims process, ensuring proper documentation and timely communication with claims adjusters.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain the FL 4-40 Customer Representative License (or applicable state license as required).
- Previous experience in insurance (such as working with State Farm) is preferred but not required.
- Prior administrative or customer service experience, ideally within insurance or financial services, is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with agency management software is expected.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective client interactions.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize assignments efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly and professional demeanor, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- High level of accuracy in data entry and document preparation.
- Ability to work independently, address client concerns, and find effective resolutions to issues as they arise.
