Insurance Customer Service Representative Job OverviewEd Randolph State Farm Agency is seeking a dedicated and personable Insurance Customer Service Representative to join our team on a full-time basis in Fairbanks, AK. As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering an outstanding customer experience to our valued policyholders and prospects. This position does not require prior insurance experience—we provide comprehensive training to candidates with the right attitude and skill set. Responsibilities- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships by proactively following up with clients as needed.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service, including responding to inquiries regarding insurance products, coverages, eligibility, policy changes, applications, claim submissions, billing clarification, and more.
- Educate customers about insurance options through needs-based review processes that focus on their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with the State Farm agent to set and achieve marketing and growth goals for the agency.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and total commitment to success on a daily basis.
- No cold calling required.
- 35-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm.

- Previous experience in customer service and/or sales (such as inside sales representative, outside sales, retail associate, or telemarketing) is preferred but not required.
- Interest in marketing insurance products and services based on customer needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Enthusiasm for the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage everyday risks, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.
- Self-motivated and proactive in problem solving.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to learn computer functions.
- Comfortable making presentations to potential clients.
- Property and Casualty license (must be able to obtain).
- Life and Health license (must be able to obtain).
