Insurance Agent (Licensed, P&C and L&H) Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Insurance Agent (Licensed, P&C and L&H) for a full-time, in-office position in Jessup, MD. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering insurance solutions and outstanding customer service, supporting clients with their property, casualty, life, and health insurance needs. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills and a passion for helping others protect what matters most. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred, but not required, as it allows for enhanced service to a diverse client base.
Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture leads, schedule appointments, and identify individual customer insurance needs.
- Market and offer appropriate insurance products and services, using your expertise in property, casualty, life, and health insurance.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and client retention.
- Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service by responding to client inquiries about insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarifications.
- Work closely with the sales manager and team to meet and exceed sales targets and contribute to the agency’s growth.
- Utilize negotiation and sales skills in both inside and outside sales environments to develop tailored insurance solutions.
- Assist with customer service, billing, retention, and interpretation to ensure a positive client experience.
Requirements
- Active Property and Casualty insurance license (required).
- Active Life and Health insurance license (required).
- Previous insurance sales experience and a successful record of meeting sales goals or quotas preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English highly preferred, but not required.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to relate effectively to clients and provide exceptional service.
- Ability to commute to the Jessup, MD office for an in-person, full-time schedule (Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
