Farm Bureau Financial Services is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial-minded Insurance Agent for a full-time opportunity. As an Insurance Agent, you will have the opportunity to develop lasting relationships within your community while helping clients identify their financial services needs and securing their futures. You will have the autonomy to manage your own schedule and income, all while being backed by a dedicated team and a company with a strong reputation in the insurance industry. This position is open to candidates residing in AZ, IA, KS, MN, NE, NM, SD, and UT.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain required state insurance licenses, including Property & Casualty License and Life and Health License.
- Meet or exceed new business production goals and objectives as established by Farm Bureau Financial Services.
- Generate new business through various methods, including telephone outreach, networking, and referrals.
- Set appointments with prospective clients to assess and identify their insurance and financial service needs.
- Develop customized insurance proposals, deliver compelling sales presentations, and close sales effectively.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfy background check requirements.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills in all interactions with clients and team members.
- Leverage your network by initiating contact with a list of 150 family, friends, and acquaintances to launch your business.
Qualifications
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to own and operate a new business efficiently.
- Passion for advocating for people in your community and protecting their livelihoods.
- Ability to identify everyday risks faced by clients and recommend appropriate insurance solutions.
- Preferred: SIE (Securities Industry Essentials) certification.
