Insurance Agent Job OverviewWe are seeking a driven and personable Insurance Agent to join our team in Portland, OR. This is a full-time, in-office opportunity with a State Farm Agency, designed for individuals who are eager to build a career in insurance sales. Whether you are an experienced professional or new to the insurance industry, we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate who demonstrates the ideal combination of motivation, customer focus, and sales acumen.
Responsibilities- Develop leads and schedule appointments to discuss insurance options with potential clients.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance products and services, including property, casualty, life, and health insurance.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, providing ongoing support and follow-up as needed.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service to ensure satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve agency sales goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Prior sales experience in roles such as outside sales, inside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening abilities.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet and exceed performance goals.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Capacity to build rapport and relate to a diverse range of customers.
- Ability to obtain Property & Casualty insurance license.
- Ability to obtain Life & Health insurance license.
