Insurance Account Representative Job Overview
The Insurance Account Representative plays a key role in supporting the sales and service functions of a dynamic insurance agency. As an Insurance Account Representative focusing on Property and Casualty Insurance, you will be integral to building strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism, accuracy, and care. Key Responsibilities
- Engage in value-based conversations with potential and existing clients to identify their insurance needs and recommend appropriate Property and Casualty Insurance products.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility requirements, policy coverages, policy changes, policy transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
- Deliver high-quality, friendly, and accurate customer service to support client retention and satisfaction.
- Assist clients with new insurance applications, renewals, and policy updates, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Work collaboratively with the agency team to meet and exceed sales targets and business growth objectives.
- Utilize agency systems and technology to track client interactions, follow up on leads, and maintain organized records of all customer communications.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, product offerings, and changes in insurance regulations relevant to Property and Casualty Insurance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or sales, preferably within the insurance industry, is highly valued.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts in a clear and friendly manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with a high level of motivation, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently as required.
- Proficiency in using computers and agency management software is desirable.
- Property and Casualty Insurance license is preferred; willingness to obtain licensure if not already held.
