Insurance Account Manager Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Insurance Account Manager to join our team in Morristown, NJ on a full-time basis. As an Insurance Account Manager, you will play a key role in supporting our agency's growth by providing excellent service to clients and developing new business opportunities. This position is ideal for professionals who are energetic, self-driven, and passionate about building relationships with customers in a fast-paced environment. Previous insurance experience is not required, as comprehensive training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage prospective client leads, schedule appointments, and identify individual customer needs to offer appropriate insurance products and services.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, following up as needed to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retention.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and courteous customer service, including responding to inquiries about insurance availability, eligibility, coverage options, policy changes, transfers, claims, and billing clarification.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive office environment.
- Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with agency procedures and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Property & Casualty insurance license (must be able to obtain within 30 days of employment).
- Life & Health insurance license (must be able to obtain within 30 days of employment).
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are preferred but not required.
- Previous sales experience—whether in insurance, retail, or telemarketing—is preferred.
- Demonstrated success in meeting sales goals or quotas is a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to customers from diverse backgrounds.
