Duties & Responsibilities- Lead and develop the sewer and excavation installation department, managing daily production and crew coordination.
- Plan, organize, and schedule daily and weekly activities for all installation crews, ensuring optimal use of resources.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and field teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.
- Review project scopes, blueprints, and work orders to facilitate accurate job staging and dispatch.
- Adjust schedules as needed to account for project changes, weather delays, and material shortages.
- Monitor labor, materials, and job costs to ensure production efficiency and adherence to budget expectations.
- Provide daily leadership and direction to crews, spending significant time in the field to oversee jobs and resolve issues.
- Communicate project expectations and job details clearly to team leads and crew members.
- Partner with the Field Supervisor to uphold technical excellence, quality, safety, and compliance with plumbing codes.
- Coach, mentor, and support team members to foster productivity, professionalism, and high performance.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and weekly team meetings to review progress and address concerns.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training field staff, maintaining appropriate apprentice staffing levels.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies, supporting regular safety meetings and practices.
- Maintain accurate job folders, crew schedules, daily reports, and documentation to support operational efficiency.
- Track materials, labor hours, and job costs, assisting with budgeting and forecasting needs for crews and equipment.
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, striving for high customer satisfaction.
- Identify and implement process improvements to boost department efficiency and performance.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing, sewer, excavation, or construction, with proven leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Solid understanding of plumbing and sewer systems, applicable codes, and both interior and exterior installation practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews, projects, and priorities simultaneously in a production or installation setting.
- Proficient in scheduling, job costing, labor tracking, and production efficiency practices.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident and decisive with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working primarily in the field alongside installation crews.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret and act on performance metrics.
- Familiarity with ServiceTitan, Samsara, ADP, or similar scheduling/job-tracking software is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
