Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform a comprehensive range of pharmacist procedures in accordance with facility guidelines and industry best practices.
- Deliver thorough pharmaceutical services within the operational capabilities of the hospital pharmacy.
- Provide medication counseling and guidance to patients, ensuring understanding of dosage, administration, and potential side effects.
- Conduct detailed reviews of patient profiles at the time of medication dispensing to monitor and optimize medication therapy.
- Verify prescription directions, dosages, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications, allergies, and age-specific factors, intervening with healthcare providers as necessary to resolve discrepancies.
- Compound medications as required, adhering to established safety and quality standards.
- Ensure accuracy and quality control for all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Supervise inventory control processes for all pharmaceuticals, with a focus on scheduled medications and controlled substances.
- Maintain rigorous records and ensure security protocols for all controlled substances in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative personnel to support patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Pharmacy from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
- Documented experience as an inpatient or outpatient pharmacist within the past 36 months (minimum of one year preferred).
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a pharmacist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- United States citizenship.
- Successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background check.
