Imaging Program Manager (IS, PACS, RIS) Position OverviewThe Imaging Program Manager (IS, PACS, RIS) plays a vital role in leading and coordinating technology initiatives for healthcare imaging platforms. As a full-time contributor, the Imaging Program Manager oversees the implementation and optimization of imaging systems such as PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System), CPACS, and RIS (Radiology Information System). The position involves orchestrating cross-functional teams, managing vendor relationships, and aligning project execution with overarching business objectives. This role is essential in ensuring that imaging technology projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with organizational requirements. Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of imaging technology projects, including PACS, CPACS, and RIS platforms.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout project lifecycles.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to meet project goals and timelines.
- Develop and maintain project business cases to support resource allocation and budgetary decisions.
- Oversee risk management activities, identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Utilize process mapping tools, such as Microsoft Visio, to document workflows and system processes.
- Leverage project management platforms, including ServiceNow or similar, for project tracking and reporting.
- Apply financial management tools like Apptio to monitor budgets and report on financial performance.
- Ensure project activities align with healthcare industry standards and organizational policies.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience as a Program Manager, preferably within healthcare environments.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience implementing healthcare systems and managing related projects.
- 2 or more years of direct experience with imaging platforms such as PACS, CPACS, RIS, or RAD.
- Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio or similar software).
- Experience with project management systems, such as ServiceNow or comparable platforms.
- Familiarity with financial management software, for example, Apptio or similar solutions.
- Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMP or Agile Professional).
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement credentials.
