ICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Summary- Deliver evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state and federal regulations, and ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain clinical competencies.
- Provide direct patient care, monitoring, and assessment of critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as ordered by physicians.
- Operate and monitor advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to changes in patient condition, including emergency situations.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
