HVAC Testing Manager Job DescriptionIDR is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HVAC Testing Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity within the HVAC and Refrigeration industry in Suwanee, GA. This full-time position is ideal for professionals looking to leverage their expertise in engineering and testing, while contributing to process improvement and operational excellence in a team-oriented environment. The HVAC Testing Manager will play a critical role in upholding quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting ongoing testing processes.
Responsibilities- Review incoming test requests for accuracy and completeness, ensuring all necessary information is provided for efficient processing.
- Communicate directly with test request originators to resolve ambiguities and clarify requirements, fostering clear and effective collaboration.
- Participate in weekly test schedule meetings, providing support and insights to the test engineering team to optimize project workflows.
- Assist test engineers and technicians in setting up equipment and instrumentation, ensuring proper configuration and adherence to safety protocols.
- Observe and monitor ongoing testing activities to confirm that key parameters and applicable testing standards are consistently followed.
- Contribute to the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to standardize testing processes.
- Provide input on test execution feasibility, proactively identifying scheduling conflicts or resource concerns to maintain project timelines.
- Support the professional development of team members, with the potential for future management responsibilities as the organization grows.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in testing roles, preferably within the HVAC and/or Refrigeration industry or similar manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in test request processing and validation, with a strong understanding of industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Experience collaborating effectively with engineers and technicians to refine and implement operational procedures.
- Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity, including direct management of staff or project teams, is highly valued.
- Proven ability to resolve technical ambiguities, communicate complex information clearly, and maintain organized documentation throughout the testing process.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety in all aspects of testing and engineering operations.
