As an HVAC Technical Support Specialist, you will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders—including dealers, rental companies, contractors, distributors, and end users—by phone, email, video conferencing, and digital communication platforms. HVAC Technical Support Specialist - Summary
- Provide technical support for portable air conditioning equipment to customers, field technicians, and distributors
- Diagnose and troubleshoot refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical issues using various communication platforms
- Guide clients through structured troubleshooting procedures
- Document technical findings and manage warranty claims
- Maintain high standards of customer service and technical accuracy
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical expert addressing customer inquiries related to portable air conditioning systems
- Diagnose refrigeration, electrical, airflow, and condensate management issues via phone, email, and digital channels
- Guide customers and field technicians through troubleshooting steps to resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Determine appropriate solutions, including field repairs, component replacement, or factory returns
- Maintain high first-call resolution rates and deliver a professional, customer-centered experience
- Assist in interpreting alarms, error codes, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
- Build and sustain strong relationships with dealers, rental companies, contractors, and distributors
- Communicate complex technical information in a clear, accessible manner
- Escalate unresolved or sensitive issues appropriately while maintaining accountability
- Review and process warranty requests, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Document all findings, troubleshooting steps, labor authorizations, parts replaced, and root cause analysis
- Coordinate replacement parts, process repair authorizations, and manage warranty approvals
- Maintain accurate digital records for ongoing product quality analysis
- Update CRM and customer service databases regularly
- Utilize Microsoft Office, ERP, CRM, and other digital business tools efficiently

Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent technical education preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, or industrial equipment troubleshooting
- EPA Section 608 Certification preferred
- Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, including compressors, expansion devices, refrigerant circuits, electrical controls, fan motors, VFDs, sensors, and electrical schematics
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and refrigeration schematics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and digital business software
- Experience with ERP, CRM, warranty management, or service management software is highly desirable
