HVAC/R Technician – Commercial Refrigeration, EPA Certified Summary
The HVAC/R Technician – Commercial Refrigeration, EPA Certified is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC and refrigeration equipment in commercial and industrial settings. This includes servicing rack systems, chillers, coolers, freezers, rooftop units, and more. The ideal candidate excels in problem-solving, values quality craftsmanship, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. You will work independently and as part of a team to meet project goals and exceed client expectations. Occasional travel to support other branches may be required during periods of high demand.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment.
- Service and troubleshoot rack systems, chillers, coolers, freezers, and rooftop units.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system issues efficiently.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and detailed system inspections.
- Accurately complete service documentation and work orders for each assignment.
- Communicate professionally with customers about repairs, system status, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project success and high-quality service delivery.
- Remain current on industry best practices, technical advancements, and safety protocols.
- Occasionally travel, including overnight stays when necessary, to support additional branches.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience in HVAC/R, specifically in commercial refrigeration.
- Universal EPA Certification (required).
- Thorough knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration systems, rack systems, chillers, coolers, freezers, and rooftop units.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to providing quality workmanship.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for effective client communication.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage service calls independently and efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for company vehicle use.
- Dedication to continuous learning and professional improvement.
