HVAC Lead Installer (EPA Certified) - Summary- Lead execution of residential HVAC installations, including system commissioning, ductwork modifications, and electrical wiring.
- Mentor and guide installation helpers or apprentices throughout each project.
- Ensure all work is compliant with building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer standards.
- Deliver comprehensive customer orientations for each completed installation.
- Maintain detailed documentation and accurate digital records for every project.
- Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate smooth and timely installations.
- Lead the installation of various residential HVAC systems, such as furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning units, and ductless split systems.
- Perform precise ductwork modifications and install gas piping, as well as low/line voltage electrical wiring, in adherence to all codes and safety protocols.
- Conduct all necessary system start-ups, ensuring airflow, refrigerant charge, and operational sequences achieve peak performance.
- Guide and mentor installation helpers or apprentices, ensuring they adhere to company procedures and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site, using protective equipment such as drop cloths and shoe covers to safeguard customer property.
- Communicate with customers before, during, and after installation, conducting walkthroughs and providing detailed orientations on system operation and maintenance.
- Identify and recommend potential upgrades or additional products, such as indoor air quality enhancements or surge protectors, to maximize customer value.
- Document all aspects of the installation, including model and serial numbers, commissioning reports, and any scope deviations, using digital platforms like ServiceTitan.
- Coordinate with the warehouse and dispatch to ensure timely delivery of materials and communicate job progress or potential delays.
- Assist in arranging final inspections with appropriate regulatory authorities to ensure successful project sign-off.
- Hourly compensation during an initial training period, transitioning to performance-based pay upon completion of training.
