As a HVAC Lead Installer (EPA Certified), you will be instrumental in setting the standard for installation excellence and supporting the growth of new markets. You will lead a crew, oversee the entire installation process for heat pump systems, and ensure every project meets Jetson’s strict quality and safety guidelines. HVAC Lead Installer (EPA Certified) - Summary- Lead residential HVAC installation projects with a focus on heat pump systems
- Mentor and support junior installers, ensuring team efficiency and skill development
- Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction through every step of the installation process
- Contribute to the operational development in a fast-growing, mission-driven company
- Complete full installation of heat pump systems, including removal of existing gas furnaces and air conditioning units
- Execute refrigerant recovery, system evacuation, and proper charging with precision and strict adherence to safety standards
- Interpret and apply blueprints and wiring diagrams for accurate installation and troubleshooting
- Stay updated and compliant with local building codes throughout each project
- Guide, supervise, and mentor less experienced installers, ensuring clear division of responsibilities and early identification of issues
- Maintain an unwavering commitment to quality, both individually and within the team
- Provide clear, professional communication with homeowners, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction with new systems
- Collaborate with engineering and fellow installation teams to continuously improve installation processes and operational efficiency
- Play an active role in developing operational practices for new markets

- Extensive hands-on experience in residential HVAC installation, including work in attics, crawlspaces, and physically demanding environments
- Proven ability to lead installation crews with a focus on clear communication and accountability
- Experience training or mentoring junior technicians in the field
- EPA Section 608 Certification (required)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and compliance requirements
- Proficient in refrigerant handling, recovery, evacuation, and charging
- Commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with homeowners and team members
- Problem-solving mindset, particularly when faced with installation challenges
- Experience with heat pumps or mini-split systems is a plus, with support for further training as needed
- Physical stamina to manage heavy equipment and variable working conditions
- Adherence to OSHA Electrical and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety standards
- Experienced in leading residential HVAC installation projects, especially heat pump systems
- Effective mentor and team leader, skilled at developing junior talent
