The HRIS Project Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting large-scale HR technology transformation initiatives within enterprise-level organizations. As a key member of the HR and People Services teams, the HRIS Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and deployment of innovative HR solutions that enhance employee experience and streamline operational processes. This position requires strong project management skills, expertise in HRIS systems—particularly Workday—and a proven track record of delivering complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and vendors.
In this full-time HRIS Project Manager role, you will manage multiple concurrent workstreams, coordinate vendor and stakeholder communications, and ensure that all aspects of the HR technology transformation are executed with precision. The HRIS Project Manager is expected to establish clear project structures, monitor dependencies, drive accountability among team members, and facilitate effective communication with executive leadership. By leading these initiatives, the HRIS Project Manager helps organizations achieve operational excellence and maintain a competitive edge in the rapidly evolving HR technology landscape.
As an HRIS Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with internal HR teams, technology partners, and business stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. Your expertise in managing HR or People Technology migrations, combined with your leadership skills, will be crucial to navigating the complexities of system upgrades and replacements. With a focus on Workday and similar platforms, you will be responsible for ensuring that project milestones are met, risks are identified and mitigated, and all testing and deployment activities are executed efficiently.
The ideal HRIS Project Manager candidate will have extensive experience leading enterprise technology initiatives, with a minimum of eight years’ experience in project management and at least four years delivering HR or People Technology migration or transformation projects. Strong leadership skills, the ability to manage multiple workstreams and vendors, and a PMP certification are highly desirable for this role.
