The GIS Technician plays a crucial role in supporting public-sector transportation initiatives by maintaining, editing, and improving roadway Geographic Information System (GIS) datasets. This full-time position offers hands-on experience with Esri ArcGIS and the opportunity to contribute to the creation and maintenance of critical geospatial data that informs infrastructure and transportation decisions. As a GIS Technician, candidates will be immersed in detailed geospatial data editing, quality assurance, and the production of maps and analytical reports that are essential for accurate transportation planning and operations.

Working as a GIS Technician means being at the forefront of data integrity, ensuring that roadway changes—such as new routes, closures, curb alterations, and other transportation-related features—are accurately reflected in the organization’s GIS.
