Mobile Game QA Tester Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mobile Game QA Tester to join our remote quality assurance team. This full-time, remote role is focused on ensuring optimal performance in mobile games by thoroughly testing for issues related to frame rates, load times, memory usage, and other critical performance metrics. As a Mobile Game QA Tester, you will play a vital role in the development process by helping to deliver smooth and responsive gameplay experiences to users.
Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive performance test plans on mobile game titles, consistently monitoring key metrics such as frames per second (FPS), CPU and GPU utilization, and battery consumption.
- Utilize specialized profiling tools to identify, analyze, and diagnose areas of performance degradation within game code and assets.
- Document performance-related issues thoroughly by providing clear data, reproducible steps, and detailed observations to ensure issues can be efficiently addressed.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and development teams to pinpoint, communicate, and assist in resolving performance bottlenecks and technical challenges.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports detailing performance benchmarks, identified issues, and actionable recommendations for optimization and improvement.
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to performance details in mobile gaming environments.
- Familiarity with industry-standard mobile performance profiling tools as well as a solid understanding of mobile hardware constraints and limitations.
- Prior experience in game performance testing, technical quality assurance, or mobile game development is highly preferred.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and regular access to a range of current mobile devices for testing purposes.
- Ability to interpret complex performance data and translate findings into actionable feedback for development teams.
