Mobile Game QA Tester Job OverviewWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Mobile Game QA Tester. As a Mobile Game QA Tester, you will focus on evaluating the performance of mobile games by identifying and analyzing key metrics that affect user experience, such as frame rate, load times, memory usage, and battery consumption. Your insights will play a vital role in helping development teams deliver smooth, high-performing mobile games to users.
Responsibilities- Execute thorough performance test plans across a variety of mobile games, rigorously monitoring important performance metrics such as frames per second (FPS), CPU and GPU usage, and battery drain.
- Utilize profiling tools to pinpoint areas within game code and assets that may cause performance degradation or suboptimal gameplay experiences.
- Accurately document performance issues by collecting data and providing clear, reproducible steps for development teams to follow.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and development teams to identify, communicate, and resolve performance bottlenecks affecting the overall quality of mobile games.
- Submit comprehensive and detailed reports that include performance benchmarks, identified issues, and recommended optimizations to improve gameplay.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with a strong focus on identifying performance-related issues in mobile games.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard mobile performance profiling tools and a solid understanding of the constraints and capabilities of mobile hardware.
- Previous experience in game performance testing, technical QA, or mobile application development is preferred and will be highly valued.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and access to a diverse range of mobile devices for thorough testing and analysis.
- Ability to interpret complex performance data and translate findings into clear, actionable feedback for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
