Food Quality Control Technician - Summary
The Food Quality Control Technician is responsible for carrying out detailed laboratory and sensory testing on food products. This role requires working closely with various teams to ensure that all products are produced, tested, and shipped according to strict quality control protocols. In this position, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on upholding high-quality standards and regulatory compliance throughout the food manufacturing process.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct titratable salinity, titratable acidity, pH, viscosity, and other sensory tests to monitor product quality.
- Perform rapid microbiological testing after receiving appropriate training.
- Spend time on the production floor to ensure products are prepared and shipped according to standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with plant management, production staff, and research & development teams to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
- Interact with customers and assist with tasks as assigned by management to address quality-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of test results and ensure all documentation is thorough and compliant with company policies and food safety standards.
- Support audits and inspections by preparing relevant documentation and participating in quality assurance initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new testing protocols and process improvements as needed.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a closely related scientific discipline.
