Field Service Technician
IDR is seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team on a full-time basis in Nashville, TN, Houston, TX, or New York City, NY. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and support services for our valued clients. Responsibilities
- Lead on-site activities by directing, auditing, and supporting technicians and subcontractors, ensuring all tasks are executed according to best practices and safety standards.
- Train less experienced technicians, subcontractors, and client teams on installation and service best practices to maintain high-quality project delivery.
- Perform scheduled installation and service work at customer sites, which may include troubleshooting, repairs, and new system setups across various environments.
- Communicate regularly with internal teams such as Project Management Office (PMO), Resource Center, and Service Center to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Handle client escalations promptly and professionally, ensuring all concerns are addressed and resolved efficiently.
- Manage administrative tasks related to field service operations, including maintaining accurate records, managing tools and company vehicles, and supporting new project bids through job walks and detailed estimates.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge in servicing multiple key accounts within the field service industry.
- Ability to operate network certifiers and other industry-standard diagnostic tools.
- Hands-on experience in at least eight of the following areas: Voice, Data, Fire Alarm, Fiber, Burglar Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Digital Signage, Wireless Access Points, and Networking.
- Completion of some or all of the following certifications is preferred: BICSI Installer 2 Copper, BICSI Installer 2 Fiber, as well as product certifications such as Bogen, HID Global, Camtek, Panduit, Bosch, CommScope, and Axis.
