Field Service Technician Job OverviewARC Group is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join a leading industrial services team. This full-time position is based in Columbia, SC and focuses on providing on-site service and maintenance for advanced compressed air systems. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of mechanical and electrical systems for a diverse client base. Key Responsibilities- Deliver on-site service, maintenance, and emergency repairs for compressed air systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for clients.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and diagnose issues with system components, such as compressors, desiccant and refrigerated dryers, and master controllers.
- Accurately complete service documentation, maintaining clear and effective communication with both internal teams and external clients.
- Independently manage company-supplied tools, equipment, and vehicles, demonstrating responsibility and adherence to safety standards.
- Identify new service opportunities and assist with parts and accessory sales to help grow the business.
- At least 2 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or supporting industrial equipment, with a proven track record of technical proficiency.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, particularly three-phase power, as well as PLC controls and mechanical diagnostic skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively solve complex technical problems in the field.
- EPA refrigeration certification is considered an asset.
- Comfort with computer systems and proficiency using Microsoft applications.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and the ability to pass required background checks.
