Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) - Family Medicine Position OverviewFindlay Family Practice is seeking a dedicated and skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established family medicine team. This is a full-time opportunity to provide high-quality, comprehensive care to patients of all ages in a busy, supportive outpatient environment. As a member of our collaborative practice, you will work alongside board-certified family physicians and experienced support staff who are committed to excellence in patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive outpatient care to a diverse patient population, including adults and children.
- Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage acute and chronic illnesses within the scope of family medicine.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members trained in Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Office Surgery, Psychiatry, and Family Counseling.
- Maintain an average patient volume of 25 or more per day, ensuring thorough and compassionate care is provided to every individual.
- Participate in “light” phone call duties; there is no hospital call required, enabling you to focus on outpatient services.
- Coordinate patient care with in-house adult and pediatric hospitalist services as needed to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families about health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the relevant state.
- Certification by an accredited body such as the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Experience in family medicine, primary care, or a related outpatient clinical setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
- Ability to manage a full panel of patients independently while collaborating with supervising physicians as needed.
- Commitment to providing inclusive, patient-centered care in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.
