Family Medicine Physician (Primary Care, MD/DO) OverviewFamily Medicine at Greenhill is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our team and provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population in Wilmington, Delaware. This full-time role is ideal for a compassionate healthcare professional committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and improving the health outcomes of individuals and families across all age groups. Key Responsibilities- Deliver preventive care, acute illness management, and chronic disease care for patients ranging from newborns to seniors as a Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO), ensuring continuity and excellence in primary care services.
- Provide office-based medical care, including physical exams, diagnosis, and management of both routine and complex health concerns, as well as select office procedures within the scope of family medicine.
- Support colleagues by seeing patients from other clinicians’ panels as needed to maintain quality and access to care.
- Participate in a rotating schedule that may include early morning, evening, and occasional Saturday morning clinic hours to enhance patient access, with flexibility based on practice needs and individual interests.
- Potentially provide care to homebound patients, depending on practice requirements and physician experience.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physician assistants, nurse practitioners, behavioral health specialists, nurses, medical assistants, clerical staff, scribes, and practice managers, to deliver coordinated and integrated care.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently for documentation, supported by scribes and administrative staff to minimize clerical workload and maximize time with patients.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Delaware.
- Current Delaware controlled substance license and unencumbered DEA registration.
- At least two years of experience in a primary care or comparable clinical setting, with demonstrated proficiency in family medicine.
- Experience in pediatric care as part of a broad family medicine practice.
- Ability to utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation; prior experience preferred.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, with a strong commitment to teamwork and providing high-quality, high-value care.
- Experience with home visits and bilingual language skills are a plus, but not required.
