Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO), Primary Care – Full-time Overview
Optigy Group is currently seeking a Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for a full-time primary care opportunity in Worcester and Brimfield, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for physicians who are board-certified in family medicine and have experience in outpatient primary care settings. The position is based in an outpatient-only clinic, focusing on providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient primary care services to patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, physical examinations, and diagnostic assessments to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Manage a range of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), with a strong emphasis on patient education and preventative strategies.
- Diagnose and treat acute medical issues, including respiratory tract infections, musculoskeletal injuries, minor traumas, and gastrointestinal concerns.
- Administer preventive and wellness-focused care, such as annual examinations, immunizations, health screenings, and risk assessments to promote long-term health and wellness.
- Utilize EPIC EMR for timely and accurate documentation, care coordination, and management of referrals to ensure optimal continuity of care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Family Medicine (MD/DO).
- Active Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications, or willingness to obtain.
- Current license or eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
- Experience practicing in an outpatient primary care environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to value-based care and patient-centered medicine.
