Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) – Full-Time Outpatient Position OverviewOptigy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our established outpatient practice in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a physician who is passionate about delivering comprehensive primary care in a patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities- Provide primary care services to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct thorough patient examinations, evaluations, and diagnoses to develop effective treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary for comprehensive health management.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatments in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.
- Educate patients and families on preventative care, chronic disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters within electronic medical records systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices for patient safety and care standards.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
- Active and unrestricted medical license to practice as a Family Medicine Physician in the state of North Carolina.
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based care model.
- 100% outpatient care – no obstetrics and no hospital call responsibilities.
- No on-call duties and no weekend shifts, supporting work-life balance for the Family Medicine Physician in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area.
- Monday to Friday schedule, providing predictable and stable working hours.
