Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) Job OverviewFamily Medicine at Greenhill is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our primary care team in Wilmington. This full-time opportunity offers an excellent work environment focused on collaborative care and patient-centered services. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will deliver comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient population, ranging from newborns to seniors, in both preventive and acute care settings. Our practice is committed to reducing administrative burdens so physicians can focus on the highest quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide office-based primary care to a panel of patients spanning all age groups, including newborns, children, adults, and the elderly.
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries, perform health maintenance, and manage chronic diseases.
- Perform minor office-based procedures, such as wound care, as appropriate to your scope of practice.
- Collaborate with other clinicians to see patients from different panels as needed, ensuring continuity of care.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, social workers, nurses, medical assistants, clerical staff, scribes, and managers to deliver coordinated care.
- Participate in early morning, early evening, and occasional Saturday morning clinics to improve access to care for all patients, particularly vulnerable and underserved populations.
- Utilize telemedicine platforms as part of the patient care model, offering additional flexibility and accessibility.
- Potentially provide primary care services to homebound patients, depending upon practice needs and your experience and interests.
- Refer patients to behavioral health services, including our on-site social worker, to address mental health and social needs.
- Document all patient interactions and care plans thoroughly and efficiently within the electronic health record (EHR) system, leveraging scribe support where available.
- Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of a Family Medicine residency program (MD or DO required).
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Delaware.
- Current, unencumbered DEA registration and Delaware controlled substance license.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a primary care or comparable clinical environment.
- Experience conducting home visits is a plus.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and a collaborative approach to providing high-quality, value-based care.
