Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our dynamic healthcare team on a full-time basis. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will play a key role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages. This position is with Mercy Wellness Clinic, which is committed to delivering patient-centered care and supporting the wellbeing of the community. The Family Medicine Physician position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive medical care to patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Focus on preventive care, health maintenance, and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare team members, including nurses, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with clinic policies and healthcare regulations.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications to promote overall wellness.
- Supervise and mentor Nurse Practitioner students as part of the clinic’s educational mission.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working at multiple clinic locations as needed, contributing to seamless patient care and clinic operations.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Board certification in Family Medicine is preferred, though not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.
- Demonstrated compassion and a patient-focused approach to healthcare delivery.
- Interest and ability to supervise and mentor Nurse Practitioner students in a clinical setting.
- Willingness to work at both Alamo Ranch and Boerne clinic locations as part of the full-time role.
