Family Medicine Physician Job OverviewCarolina Clinic for Health and Wellness is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician (also known as Family Practice Physician or FP) for a full-time or part-time position in Greenville, NC. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in delivering comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population. Greenville, NC, offers a dynamic environment with local institutions such as ECU Medical Center and East Carolina University, and is located within convenient distance to coastal amenities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough and comprehensive patient assessments, ensuring accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning.
- Oversee patients experiencing acute medical emergencies or exacerbations of chronic conditions, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing clinical evaluations, and initiating appropriate interventions.
- Manage patients during short-term sub-acute rehabilitation treatment, providing ongoing monitoring and medical management for optimal recovery.
- Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with medical guidelines, including accurate coding with ICD-10 diagnoses and detailed patient records.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration among the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure cohesive patient care delivery.
- Participate in discussions regarding serious illnesses and advanced care planning, supporting patients and families in making informed care decisions.
- Offer counseling and educational support to patients and their caregivers, enhancing understanding of diagnoses, treatments, and preventive care strategies.
- Supervise Nurse Practitioners, providing clinical guidance and fostering professional development within the team.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and communicate clearly with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.

- The practice operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Full-time Family Medicine Physicians work five 8-hour shifts per week.
- Part-time options are available, ranging from 15 to 29 hours per week.
- Patient load averages 3-4 patients per hour.
