Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO)
Kinston Community Health Center, Inc. is currently seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to become an integral part of our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for compassionate and skilled professionals who are committed to delivering comprehensive care to patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse population ranging from newborns to geriatric patients.
- Conduct an average of 18-20 patient encounters daily, focusing on preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment.
- Collaborate closely with a supportive team that includes three Nurse Practitioners and one other physician to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Supervise and work alongside Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs), with each practitioner supported by 1.5 CMAs to facilitate patient flow and care delivery.
- Utilize the Nextgen Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for accurate and timely documentation of patient information and clinical activities.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with best practices in family medicine.
- Promote patient education and engage families in health maintenance and disease prevention activities.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and support the mission of Kinston Community Health Center, Inc.
- No call coverage or weekend shifts required, supporting an optimal work-life balance.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience is desired; however, new graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice as a Family Medicine Physician.
- Ability to provide comprehensive medical care to patients across the lifespan, including newborns and the elderly.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a commitment to collaborative, patient-centered care.
- Experience with EMR systems, preferably Nextgen, is beneficial.
