Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing all daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish prepared and served.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and FOH management to maintain a cohesive and efficient workflow throughout the restaurant.
- Lead by example in preparing menu items from scratch, ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved and maintained at all times.
- Implement and monitor systems to support efficient execution in a high-volume environment, drawing on prior experience in chain or independent restaurants.
- Foster a culture of mentorship and development among kitchen staff, providing hands-on leadership and training to promote growth and teamwork.
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines across all kitchen activities.
- Manage inventory, control food costs, and assist with ordering and vendor relationships to support business efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with FOH teams to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.
- Utilize P&L knowledge to contribute to the financial success of the restaurant through cost control and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated passion for culinary excellence and producing high-quality dishes consistently in a scratch kitchen environment.
- Strong background in high-volume restaurant settings, with systems knowledge and experience executing large-scale operations.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire kitchen teams effectively, with a hands-on and collaborative management style.
- Solid understanding of business operations, including profit and loss (P&L) management, inventory control, and vendor relations.
- Track record of success and tenure within the culinary industry, supported by excellent professional references.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
