Key Responsibilities
- Lead the kitchen team by inspiring and managing sous chefs, line cooks, and other kitchen staff to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes for every guest.
- Design and execute creative menus that reflect the restaurant’s vision, incorporating seasonal, ingredient-driven cuisine and current culinary trends.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, service, and expediting, ensuring smooth execution during every shift.
- Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in compliance with all health regulations.
- Manage food and labor costs in alignment with established budget goals, focusing on optimizing resources and minimizing waste.
- Source premium ingredients, cultivate supplier relationships, and ensure the use of sustainable products wherever possible.
- Collaborate with front-of-house management and ownership to create a cohesive, five-star dining experience for all guests.
- Stay informed of culinary trends, integrating new techniques and innovative ideas into the menu and overall kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- At least 5-7 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a fine dining or luxury hospitality setting.
- Culinary degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Mastery of classic and modern cooking techniques across a variety of cuisines.
- Strong leadership, communication, and kitchen management skills.
- Proven track record of managing kitchen budgets, inventory, and food cost controls.
- Experience in developing, training, and mentoring kitchen staff, with a focus on fostering a high-performing team environment.
