Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Summary- Responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
- Works closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, plan, and implement effective patient care strategies.
- Maintains a safe and supportive environment for patients, families, and staff.
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
- Perform rapid assessment and triage of patients presenting to the emergency room.
- Administer treatments, medications, and interventions as appropriate for acute and critical conditions.
- Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and response to interventions.
- Coordinate with physicians, allied health professionals, and support staff to deliver seamless patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records.
- Uphold infection control, safety, and quality improvement standards.
- Participate in code situations and provide advanced life support as needed.
