Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) Position OverviewOptigy is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) to join a newly built micro-hospital in Converse, TX, part of the greater San Antonio area. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers an engaging clinical environment with 24/7 emergency and inpatient services, making it a vital role for providing high-quality acute care to the community. As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be part of a team focused on delivering excellent patient outcomes in a modern, fully equipped facility that supports both providers and patients with advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the micro-hospital's emergency department, ensuring timely and efficient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Manage a diverse caseload with an annual emergency department volume of approximately 16,000 visits.
- Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and other clinical staff to maintain optimal patient flow and deliver coordinated care during 12-hour shifts.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and modern clinical protocols to support accurate decision-making and high standards of care.
- Participate actively in continuous quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and patient-centered service.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through opportunities such as leadership training, efficiency programs, and participation in annual clinical assemblies.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility (BC/BE) in Emergency Medicine, or BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with significant Emergency Medicine experience.
- Current certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency care setting and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Access to a national clinical governance board (NCGB) for peer support and professional standards.
- 24/7/365 live physician support for clinical consultations and guidance.
- Participation in leadership and efficiency academies, as well as engagement and experience programs designed for career growth.
