Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) Position Overview
Optigy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) for a permanent, full-time, onsite position in Glenpool, OK. This role is an excellent opportunity for physicians passionate about providing high-quality emergency care in a freestanding emergency department. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages presenting to the emergency department.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of acute illnesses and injuries, ensuring timely and appropriate treatment.
- Work collaboratively within a team of board-certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to deliver patient-centered care.
- Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostics, including onsite laboratory and imaging services such as X-ray and CT, to support clinical decision-making.
- Document all patient encounters using the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Provide medical leadership and participate in quality improvement initiatives within the emergency department.
- Participate in 12-hour shift schedules, ensuring continuous physician coverage with additional APP support during afternoons and evenings.
- Adhere to all clinical protocols, safety policies, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine (MD or DO) required.
- Eligibility for J-1 Visa Sponsorship or H1B Cap Exempt status available.
- Current and unrestricted medical license, or eligibility to obtain one in Oklahoma.
- Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine, with the ability to manage high-acuity and diverse patient presentations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration with other healthcare professionals and patients.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and participation in educational programs offered by Optigy, such as leadership and efficiency academies.
