Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) Position OverviewOptigy is currently seeking a dedicated and collaborative Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) for a permanent, full-time opportunity. This position is based onsite in Clewiston, Florida, serving a community-oriented emergency department. As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality emergency care to approximately 16,000 patients annually in a facility equipped with 10 emergency department beds. This setting offers a consistent and manageable clinical environment, ideal for physicians seeking a rewarding role in a rural area just a short drive from Lake Okeechobee and the Gulf Coast.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver comprehensive emergency care to patients presenting with a broad spectrum of acute medical conditions.
- Work collaboratively with a team of physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize Epower Doc electronic medical record (EMR) platform for efficient and accurate charting and documentation.
- Participate in a shift rotation with 12-hour shifts (7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.), as well as collaborate with advanced practice providers who offer additional coverage during peak hours (11 a.m. to 8 p.m.).
- Provide leadership and guidance within the emergency department to maintain a high standard of patient care and foster a supportive team environment.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures related to emergency medicine practice.
- Board Certification required in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) or in Family Practice/Internal Medicine with a minimum of two years recent emergency medicine experience.
- Active Florida medical license preferred; candidates with eligibility are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated experience in a high-acuity emergency department environment is strongly valued.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for collaborating with clinical staff and providing patient-centered care.
