Optigy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) to join a leading hospital facility in Albany, NY. This is a full-time, permanent, onsite opportunity designed for physicians who thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments. The hospital’s emergency department (ED) manages approximately 46,000 patient visits annually and is recognized for its commitment to clinical excellence, advanced trauma care, and specialty services. As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM), you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care within a nationally ranked healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care and medical management for patients presenting to the emergency department, ensuring timely assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nursing, advanced practice providers, and specialty consultants, to deliver coordinated emergency care.
- Utilize Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system for efficient patient documentation and communication.
- Participate in trauma and specialty care initiatives, including the hospital’s designated STEMI Center and Primary Stroke Center programs.
- Engage in quality improvement activities, protocol development, and patient safety programs to advance the standard of care.
- Contribute to professional development opportunities, including leadership training and skills enhancement through internal academies and assemblies.
- Support the hospital’s educational mission by mentoring new graduates, residents, and advanced practice providers as appropriate.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine (EM).
- Unrestricted medical license, or eligibility for licensure, in the State of New York.
- Current DEA registration.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work effectively in high-acuity settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster teamwork and patient engagement.
