Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) Position OverviewOptigy is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) for a permanent, full-time opportunity at a reputable Level IV Trauma Center in Mesquite, Texas. This role is well-suited for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, community hospital environment and are committed to providing high-quality emergency care. As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) with Optigy, you will play a vital role in delivering acute care to a diverse patient population and collaborating with a skilled support team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a variety of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Work efficiently in a Level IV Trauma Center that sees approximately 34,000 annual visits, ensuring timely assessment, stabilization, and treatment of patients.
- Utilize the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for accurate documentation and coordination of patient care.
- Participate in flexible shift schedules, with available 9–10 hour shifts including options such as 8 a.m.–6 p.m., 12 p.m.–10 p.m., and 6 p.m.–4 a.m.
- Collaborate closely with nurses, advanced practice providers, and other hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care and support.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, clinical best practices, and all regulatory requirements relevant to emergency medicine.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine through ABEM or AOBEM.
- Family Practice (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM) physicians with a minimum of two years of recent emergency medicine experience are also considered.
- Active Texas medical license preferred; candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
- Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary team care.
This opportunity is based at a Level IV Trauma Center in Mesquite, Texas, located just outside the Dallas metropolitan area.
