Embedded Firmware Engineer - Summary
As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will take ownership of the firmware development lifecycle for cutting-edge aerospace applications. Your primary focus will be on designing and maintaining embedded firmware for motor control systems while working closely with electrical, hardware, and systems engineers. Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for advanced aerospace products and systems, specifically targeting motor control applications.
- Develop firmware solutions that support motor control circuits and embedded control applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, hardware, and systems engineers to drive the product development lifecycle from concept through deployment.
- Debug and troubleshoot embedded firmware using laboratory equipment, development tools, and diagnostic software to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Support the integration of firmware with hardware components, participating in verification, validation, and testing activities to meet regulatory and quality standards.
- Document firmware designs, test procedures, and results to ensure traceability and compliance with aerospace regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development, particularly in the context of motor control systems or circuits.
- Demonstrated expertise in C and C++ programming for embedded systems development.
- Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, and real-time embedded systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and proficiency with laboratory equipment used in firmware development and testing.
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
