The Email Quality Assurance Analyst plays a crucial role in the ongoing success of digital communications within the hospitality industry. As an Email Quality Assurance Analyst, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all guest-facing emails—including booking confirmations, promotional offers, and service updates—meet the highest standards of accuracy, consistency, and professionalism. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of digital guest interactions, helping to create a seamless experience across multiple platforms and devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for all email communications and workflows, ensuring robust testing coverage for different scenarios.
- Validate email triggers, dynamic content, formatting, personalization, and deliverability to ensure messages display correctly and reach intended recipients without errors.
- Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard QA tools, collaborating closely with development and marketing teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Ensure all email communications adhere to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and regulatory requirements, supporting compliance and a consistent brand image.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) for new email features and marketing campaigns, providing clear feedback and ensuring requirements are met prior to launch.
- Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation of testing processes, test cases, and outcomes to support transparency and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, user acceptance testing (UAT), or email testing, with a preference for experience in the hospitality or service industry.
- Demonstrated proficiency with email testing tools such as Litmus and Email on Acid, ensuring accurate rendering across various platforms and devices.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email, allowing for effective evaluation of email code and troubleshooting display issues.
- Familiarity with leading CRM or email marketing platforms, including Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Campaign, or Braze, to facilitate integration and testing processes.
- Experience using QA and test management tools, such as Jira or TestRail, for efficient tracking and resolution of defects.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
