Electrical Engineer (EE) Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Electrical Engineer (EE) to join a dynamic engineering team in Long Beach, CA on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design electrical systems, with a primary focus on lighting circuiting and lighting controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
- Create and update detailed electrical drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Revit MEP software.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
- Apply knowledge of Title 24 and other relevant codes to ensure energy-efficient and compliant designs.
- Participate in project meetings, coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering professionals, and communicate technical information clearly.
- Conduct site visits and assessments as necessary to support project development and implementation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering and lighting design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field is required.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in electrical design, particularly in lighting systems.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP is required for daily project work.
- Experience with lighting circuiting and lighting controls is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Title 24 regulations and standards is a plus.
- Membership in professional organizations such as IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) or IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is advantageous.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required.
