We are currently looking for an EEG Technician (Electroencephalogram Technician) who will play a critical role in providing high-quality neurodiagnostic services. This full-time opportunity is based at the prestigious Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and offers a chance to work alongside leading healthcare professionals in an innovative and inclusive atmosphere. U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
The EEG Technician will be responsible for performing electroencephalogram testing, which is essential in assessing and monitoring electrical activity in the brain. Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform EEG testing to accurately assess and record electrical activity in the brain.
- Conduct patient assessments, including gathering relevant medical history as needed.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs prior to testing procedures.
- Transfer and securely store completed test data on local servers for subsequent interpretation by healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to aseptic and sterile techniques during site preparation using antiseptic solutions, ensuring patient safety and infection control.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold all documentation standards required by the medical center.
- Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors or management to support the operational needs of the department.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive base rate plus premium compensation, currently set at $39.45 per hour (in accordance with federal and state regulations).

Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional background in Anatomy and Physiology preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of basic medical experience; proficiency in the selection and placement of leads to detect electrical brain activity is essential.
- Current, active, and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Red Cross (ARC) is required.
- U.S. citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this position due to federal client obligations.
- Willingness to participate in on-site training for eligibility to sit for ABRET certification is necessary.
