EDI Analyst Position Overview
The EDI Analyst plays a vital role in managing, modernizing, and optimizing electronic data interchange (EDI) systems within a large, team-oriented organization. As an EDI Analyst, you will lead end-to-end EDI projects, oversee integrations with trading partners, and ensure that all data exchange processes comply with industry standards and company policies. Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with IT teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality EDI solutions that align with organizational objectives.
- Lead and coordinate EDI projects, working closely with internal peers and external partners to ensure seamless execution and delivery.
- Develop and implement comprehensive EDI strategies that support ongoing transformation initiatives and business needs.
- Design, develop, and implement EDI integrations with a variety of trading partners, including those in retail and logistics sectors.
- Oversee and manage migrations from legacy EDI platforms, focusing on minimizing disruptions and ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders.
- Prioritize and manage the EDI project backlog, ensuring timely delivery of new features and efficient resolution of support issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant data security standards while maintaining data integrity throughout EDI processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline EDI implementation processes and improve overall system efficiency.
- Prepare and deliver executive summaries on EDI roadmaps, project deliverables, and the value proposition of technology initiatives.
- Diagnose and resolve EDI issues, including mapping, validation, and transmission challenges between trading partners and the company's ERP systems.
- Document all EDI projects, including system architecture, processes, and any known issues, to support knowledge sharing and future improvements.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in EDI analysis and project management, preferably in large organizations or similar environments.
- Strong technical background in EDI platforms, data mapping, and integration with trading partners.
- Proven ability to lead modernization efforts and manage complex technology projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for leveraging technology to achieve business success.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to document technical processes and communicate project status to stakeholders at all levels.
