Key Responsibilities
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds, in accordance with established clinical protocols and standards.
- Collaborate closely with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide consultative expertise and recommendations for further imaging or follow-up care.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of radiologic findings through written and verbal communication channels.
- Maintain comprehensive and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality assurance initiatives, and ongoing education to stay current with advancements in diagnostic radiology.
- Adapt to varying departmental needs, including flexible scheduling and participation in call coverage as required by the site.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an approved residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology by a recognized national board.
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in Indiana (IN) or ability to obtain prior to assignment start date.
- Strong clinical knowledge with demonstrated experience in a variety of diagnostic imaging modalities.
- Clean malpractice and professional background history preferred for expedited credentialing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.
