Optigy is seeking a Diagnostic Radiologist for a locum tenens, onsite position. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and other modalities as required by the department.
- Collaborate closely with referring physicians and the broader healthcare team to provide timely, accurate diagnostic information for patient care management.
- Maintain high standards of clinical practice in accordance with national guidelines and protocols.
- Participate in departmental meetings and case reviews as needed to support continuous improvement and educational initiatives.
- Adapt to varying clinical schedules, including standard shifts or coverage based on departmental needs.
- Perform on-call duties as assigned, which may vary depending on site requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Tennessee is preferred; candidates must meet all licensure requirements to practice in Tennessee.
- Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent national certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and adapt to changing clinical needs.
- A clean malpractice and background history is strongly preferred to expedite credentialing.
- Credentialing process may take up to 90 days; providers with a clean history may experience a faster process.
