Key Responsibilities- Interpret a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and ultrasound, for patients across various clinical areas.
- Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare professionals to provide consultative expertise regarding diagnostic imaging findings.
- Contribute to a team-focused environment by participating in regular case discussions, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review activities.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to established protocols while demonstrating adaptability to address unique clinical scenarios that may arise during the assignment.
- Comply with all relevant safety, privacy, and ethical guidelines within the imaging department and broader healthcare facility.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency program in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology (AOBR).
- Active and unrestricted South Carolina medical license required; candidates with a clean malpractice and background history preferred.
- Current knowledge of the latest advancements in diagnostic imaging and radiology best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with clinical colleagues.
