Dental Biller Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Dental Billers to join our team in a full-time, remote role. As a Dental Biller, you will play a vital part in the dental healthcare revenue cycle, ensuring timely and accurate billing, optimal collections, and compliance with industry regulations. This opportunity allows you to work remotely from anywhere, providing flexibility while you contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of dental billing operations for a variety of clients, including Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) and other dental practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive revenue cycle workflows tailored to customer-specific, federal, state, and payer requirements.
- Oversee dental coding, billing, and collections to ensure timely and accurate claims submission and payment.
- Manage accounts receivable tasks, including processing charges, handling patient and payer communications, and posting payments.
- Process electronic remittance advice, perform reconciliation, and address claim rejections, denials, and appeals as necessary.
- Research and analyze updates to regulatory, payer, and coding requirements to ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards.
- Access federal, state, and payer websites to stay current on billing and revenue cycle guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal departments to address customer needs and optimize workflow processes.
- Participate in internal training plans and professional development initiatives to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Mentor and support less experienced team members, contributing to overall team success.
- Analyze and optimize billing workflows using platforms such as NextGen PM, EPM, or similar dental billing software.
- Strive to meet or exceed established daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of dental billing experience.
- Familiarity with clearinghouses, healthcare portals, and dental billing software, such as NextGen EPM/EDR or similar platforms.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a commitment to professionalism and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FQHC billing and knowledge of behavioral health billing.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with optical billing processes.
Technical Requirements
- Reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 20 Mbps and upload speed of 5 Mbps to support a seamless remote work environment.
Work Environment and Schedule
- This Dental Biller position is full-time and remote, offering a flexible schedule during standard business hours, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on operational needs.
